Pavel Bure is a retired professional hockey player, known for time with the NHL. Bure started his ;professional career in 1987, playing for the Russian based Central Red Army, where he would go on to ;become an offensive force. In 1989, Bure was selected in the NHL Draft, but legal issues kept him playing ;in Russia until 1991, when he made his debut as a Vancouver Canuck. As a highly touted acquisition, ;Bure would go on to be a star for the Canucks, making multiple All-Star games and leading a feared ;Canuck offense that would reach the playoffs multiple times. In 1998, Bure was traded to the Florida ;Panthers, where he continued to ;dominate up until he was traded again, this time to the New York ;Rangers. After a 16 year professional career, Bure decided to ;retire, finishing with a plethora of awards ;and honors. Bure was a five time all-star, along with leading the league in goals scored on three separate ;occasions. In 2012, Bure's status as an all-time great was cemented, as he was inducted into the HockeyHall of Fame.
