Clark Gillies Biography

Hall of Famer Clark Gillies is a New York Islanders legend.  The two-time All-Star won four straight Stanley Cups with the Islanders and has his jersey retired by the franchise.  Even prior to their Cup run, Gillies was a team captain at the age of 22 and had four straight 30 goal seasons.  His physical play and role as an enforcer were vital to the Islanders dynasty.  The legendary lines he played on were tabbed with one of a kind nicknames like the €œLong Island Lightning Company€ and €œTrio Grande€.  He finished his career playing two seasons for the Buffalo Sabres.  Gillies was originally the fourth overall pick of the 1974 NHL Draft after building up a solid reputation in junior hockey with the Regina Pats.  Gillies is now an executive for Hilton Capital Management, which is in Garden City, New York.
