Bob Murray Biography

Bob Murray is the general manager for the Anaheim Ducks. He has been in the position for the Ducks since 2008 and originally started as the franchise's senior vice president of hockey operations. Murray was named NHL General Manager of the Year in 2014. Burke got his start in a front office as the director of player personnel for the Chicago Blackhawks in 1991. He was promoted to the team's general manager in 1997. He had a three-year tenure as the GM before becoming a scouting consultant in Anaheim. From 1999-2005, Murray was a professional scout for the Vancouver Ducks. He spent his entire 15-year playing career with the Blackhawks. Murray was selected as an NHL All-Star in 1983.
