The Boston Bruins are a professional ice hockey team based in Boston, Massachusetts. They are members of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Bruins were founded in 1924 and are one of the Original Six teams of the NHL, along with the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks.

The Bruins have a storied history, having won six Stanley Cup championships, most recently in 2011. They have also won four Conference championships, 16 Division championships, and two Presidents’ Trophies. The Bruins have had many notable players throughout their history, including  Phil Esposito, Ray Bourque, Cam Neely, Zdeno Chara, David Pastrnak among others.

The Bruins play their home games at the TD Garden, which they share with the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team is owned by Jeremy Jacobs, and the current head coach is Bruce Cassidy.
