Joel Quenneville Biography

Joey Quenneville played 13 seasons in the NFL with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, Hartford Whalers and Washington Capitals from 1978 to 1991. He got his start in the NHL after being selected with the 21st overall pick in the 1978 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. During his playing career he scored 54 goals and added 136 assists for a total of 190 points in 803 career games. After he retired in 1992 he began a successful coaching career in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues in 1996. Since that time he has won over 800 games and also led the Colorado Avalanche, Chicago Blackhawks and Florida Panthers. He won three Stanley Cup championships nine playoff appearances.
