Blake Wheeler is captain of the Winnipeg Jets. He has been with the Jets since 2011 and never scored fewer than 60 points in a season. Wheeler was named captain of the franchise in the lead-up to the 2016-17 season. Prior to being traded to Winnipeg, he played for the Boston Bruins. Wheeler made his NHL debut with the Bruins in 2008. He was selected to the 2009 NHL YoungStars Game and scored four goals on the way to MVP honors. After playing one year with the Green Bay Gamblers, Wheeler spent three seasons at the University of Minnesota.
